About Me

Juan Morocho is a New York-based audio engineer and artist specializing in abstract electronic music and immersive sound design. He holds a B.A. in Music Technology from Brooklyn College, where he built a strong foundation in synthesis and experimental composition—often blending his folk roots with electronic textures to create a sound that's both personal and forward-thinking. He's set to begin his Master's in Live Music Production and Design at Berklee College, continuing to explore the intersection of sound and visuals.
Juan has worked as a production assistant at Bryant Park, supporting large-scale events in partnership with organizations like Carnegie Hall and the New York City Opera. He also works as a live sound engineer at The Rock Church, where he not only mixes audio but actively volunteers in community outreach—helping run food drives, clothing donations, and connecting locals with mental health resources.
Outside of work, Juan is an amateur baker, cocktail enthusiast, and traveler—currently planning his second trip back to Alaska. He's working toward transitioning into stagehand roles at Carnegie Hall, with long-term goals of joining major live productions at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. His ideology is if you aim high and don't make it the hope is you'll end up somewhere really close.
